I just think this an nitrofurano's other recent tickets are simple a case
of too high expectations for the state of Haiku. As an alpha it should
simply not be expected to have all of the same useful software and
hardware support. Many of the items don't even exist for Haiku, eg "kind
of open-office". We certainly don't want to be shipping the QT/KOffice
solution with an official release IMHO.
Maybe this ticket brings up more of a question of "how do we better manage
expectations?". Nitrofurano - what were your expectations of Haiku when
you downloaded it? Clearly Haiku failed to meet them, but I tend to think
that's probably more due to a problem of communicating what the current
alpha state really means rather than a "bug" in Haiku.
