#5414: Asus A7N8X-X: No sound -------------------------------+-------------------------------------------- Reporter: Luposian | Owner: korli Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: Drivers/Audio/HDA | Version: R1/alpha1 Keywords: | Blockedby: Platform: x86 | Blocking: -------------------------------+-------------------------------------------- Comment(by Luposian): Ok, I just booted the system from the Haiku r35401 CD I created and audio works perfectly. I then proceeded to install r35401 onto the system and, after rebooting to boot off the hard drive, audio was non-existent! So, something is different (or unchanged) on the CD that is no longer the same when Haiku is booted from the hard drive. So this "problem" goes back to at least r35401, but it's not a blatant (consistent problem, no matter what you do) issue... it's a subtle issue. Something that isn't a problem, when using the CD, but IS a problem, when booting from the hard drive! Something is being changed/altered, that's affecting sound output. But what? Someone want the r35401 CD .iso image so they can pick through the differences? Or would a syslog reveal the issue? -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/5414#comment:2> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
