#5226: After unplugging a USB drive twice, it's no longer on the mount list --------------------------+------------------------------------------------- Reporter: Kev | Owner: nobody Type: bug | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: R1 Component: File Systems | Version: R1/alpha1 Keywords: | Blockedby: Platform: All | Blocking: --------------------------+------------------------------------------------- I have a camera here that functions as a USB drive. On r34892 gcc2-hybrid, I can mount and unmount the drive (in read-only mode throughout this description--read/write KDLs on access, but that's a separate issue) as many times as I like (tested 5.) After unmounting, I can unplug the USB cable, then plug it back in, and I'm still able to mount and unmount as many times as I like, and in fact, as soon as I plug it in, it remounts it automatically (the read/readwrite/cancel box pops up.) Here's where it breaks down: After unmounting, I unplug the USB cable a second time, and plug it back in just as before, but the drive no longer shows up on the mount list in the desktop context menu, and I can't get it to reappear without rebooting. It's strange that it works once but not twice :) -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/5226> Haiku <http://dev.haiku-os.org> Haiku - the operating system.
