Indeed, in fact the menu font uses a completely different codepath than
the other fonts and is saved in a different file. Apparently a legacy from
BeOS where it was in the menu preferences. However I see no reason the
setting would be reset (it's in BMenu::sMenuInfo if anyone else wants to
look, and initialized using get_menu_info to get it from app_server).
