Well, I am glad I found this: just posted on the forums about Printing in
Haiku OS!
I use a Canon MX870 on my network and have not been able to connect it via
Haiku.
All my devices are connected to it: Apple macs,Windows,Linux even BSDs.
Printing may not be fundamental for some people anymore but I often print
or scan documents and photos.
So, could it be possible to implement the following recommendation given
by a developer who is building "helloSystem":(probono Jul 16, 2019)

“Quick” fix: Deeply integrate mDNS/Zeroconf into the system and use
something like CUPS for printing (it is what Apple uses, after all)
