-------------------------------+------------------------------
I have a T410 with no audio at all from the HDA driver.
Controller:
{{{
device Multimedia controller (Audio device) [4|3|0]
vendor 8086: Intel Corporation
device 3b56: 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset High Definition Audio
}}}
Digging in the syslog, I find
{{{
0x17aa subsystem_vendor_id
0x215e subsystem_id
}}}
(seems to be called HDA_CODEC_CX20585 in the FreeBSD sources)
Codecs:
{{{
KERN: hda: Codec 0 Vendor: 14f1 Product: 5069, Revision: 1.0.3.2 Quirks:
0700
=> the actual "audio" codec: Conexant / HDA_CODEC_CX20585
KERN: hda: Codec 3 Vendor: 8086 Product: 2804, Revision: 1.0.0.0
Quirks: 0700
(=> aka HDA_CODEC_INTELIP2 / "Intel Ibex Peak", seems to
be un-used or for digital/HDMI stuff)
}}}
More coming up...
