Hmmm.. Opening a menu/submenu should create a BWindow and its inherited
BLooper and its port, does the `fMsgPort` member show up in strace's
output ?
Anyway just in case, I looked at this [http://cgit.haiku-

recent change] in Looper.cpp and Application.cpp but could not find a/the
problem
