It should not have corrupted the FS, anyway. What makes you think it has?
The panic is only there because we'd like to have these errors prominently
visible - a "co" should have gracefully returned a `B_IO_ERROR` to
userland. But even a restart should just replay the latest log, and end up
with a clean FS.
