Tried again using hrev47847. Problem still exists.
Experimented with BeOS R5, BeOS Dano, Zeta 1.21, and some old Haiku
builds.
R5 and Dano CD's boot to the second icon. Zeta boots and installs the OS
to the hard drive without problems.
All versions of Haiku exhibit the problem described, where the PC goes
into a continuous startup loop.
