Last time I tried, it didn't seem to destroy any data for me, but it was
very slow with the disk spending a lot of time handling each trim command
sent, and ultimately replying with failure.
SSDs of small capacity should be cheap and easy to come by these days, I
would suggest dedicating one to testing purposes?
