The "10 band equalizer" media addon (located under /boot/system/add-
ons/media) at the moment is only usable with Cortex. This way is not
practical and immediate, since, every time, we have to create a new node
inside Cortex, for every media app which we want to equalize (and we also
have to stop/start nodes, which personally i have found that doesn't work
every time).
I open this enhancement ticket to suggest to implement/embed the 10 band
equalizer media addon inside the Media Preferences window, to
automatically equalize every audio stream.
