OK, what am I missing? I decided I'd better see if xicon
builds under x86 (gcc2 always sufficed). It compiles (with
a couple of warnings, but the linking phase yells a lot
about "undefined reference to `operator new[](unsigned long)'"
and similarly for delete.
I think I've installed all the relevant devel packages into beta 2
(a bit disconcerting that these are no longer in the basic set!)
but I guess something must be missing. Can't figure out what.
Suggestions?
