Now I found my mistake. I had to add the views to BCardLayout after the BCardLayout was added to the layout. I would have expected, that it's the same if I create a BCardLayout object and add views to it, and then add it to the layout.
This may have worked before the last bigger refactoring of the layout stuff to allow view-less layouts, don't know, but this comes to mind.
