I know g-code pretty well but rarely write it manually. Even on simple parts I
often want things like tabs, roughing/finishing passes, etc.
These could be written manually but it would be tedious.
The shop needs a CAD workstation with some basic software on it.
I believe the shop has licenses for all the Autocad stuff, but I never liked
their UI's.
I use Inkscape for 2D and SketchUp for 3D, and MeshCAM to generate toolpaths
for both.

assembling and adjusting the steppers and optics. On mills and

thick for the laser cutter. Chad said that I should be able to
make these cuts on the CNC machine no problem, though.
