Many of my projects fall under both cases I suppose. Working on the
power when other people are trying to work is obviously anti-social.
So either before we start or at the very end would be best approach.

Somehow I can use the Hacker Hotline?
Incremental is good, and it doesn't have to be 'a single completely
wired outlet' either. It could be 'several line run but not connected
to either halves'.
