We have GREAT NEWS! Our next 3DPPGH meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May
10th, at HackPGH. While that sounds normal, whats coming next isn't.
We have not one, but two guest speakers and sponsors who will be presenting
at the meeting: Ultimaker and MatterHackers!!
Some of you will already be well acquainted with these names, but for those
of you that are not here is a little background.
Ultimaker is one of the premiere consumer 3D Printer companies in the USA.
While originally a Dutch company, Ultimaker USA was formed within the past
couple of years and their printers were consistently at the top of the heap
until the new Prusa MK2 barely edged them out. They make amazing printers,
based on the test results. They are also the ones that fund and put out
CURA! Having just released a new version, they are planning to speak about
the latest CURA and how you can use it with ANY 3D Printer (including, say,
a 2020 i3 from Folgertech).

MatterHackers is one of the biggest online 3D Printings stores in the US,
featuring a variety of printers and a huge diverse line of filament. They
resell a variety of vendors and their in house brand was one of the
original "go-to" filament brands. They are planning on speaking about
printing with exotic filaments, and print finishing and weathering.

All in all it will be an awesome night and you should be there!!
We will be sending out a sign-up link again, as we expect a high turnout
and want to make sure we are prepared for the number of attendees. We also
expect a larger than usual turnout from the community as the RAPID
conference is in town that week, so we will probably have some new faces to
hang out with!
