2011 is here and that means a chance for another great year for HackPittsburgh! We had a terrific and very active 2010. We had members at all three Maker Faires this year with HackPGH representing from coast to coast while still hitting a few smaller faires too. The shop competed and placed well in the Hackerspaces in Space competition which launched our very successful space balloon program into full speed. We had three weddings in the shop with a final engagement slipped in at the last minute. The Hacker Hotline is in full swing with spaces all around the country excited to join us. Our Powerwheels racer has come into the shop and work has started to bring us to the races in 2011. These and many other projects, outings, and successes have given us a great momentum moving into this year. We are starting off with a great week. Monday we are back to our normal hours and hope to see many of you in the shop. Tuesday the lock picking group returns, if you haven't come in yet to give it a shot you might be surprised how fun and easy it is. Wednesday is a very important members meeting with a vote being held to fill our empty council position. Friday Sayan will be giving a talk on how to combine the Android and Arduino platforms using Bluetooth. Then finally to top it all off we are making this weekend the triumphant return of SHOPCATION! Saturday and Sunday we will be in the shop busting out as many projects as we can. I would like to thank you all again for making 2010 an amazing year and I look forward to all the good times and fun projects we will be working on tis year! Thanks, Matt Stultz
