More than 100 Exhibitors Answer Maker Faire Pittsburgh's
Round 1 Call for Makers...and We Want More!
A drone that maps potholes, a 6-year old boy who teaches coding, a portable
wind turbine, DYI claw/prize machine, robot petting zoo, musical tesla coil,
origami creatures that sing, Arduino controlled irrigation systems, a Gatling
gun that fires 180 rubber bands in 7 seconds, workshops in e-textiles,
concrete casting and 3D printing, robots destroying fax machines for
recycling, clinics for educators and aspiring entrepreneurs…these are just
some of the more than 100 proposals received to date for exhibits at Maker
Faire Pittsburgh, October 10-11, on Pittsburgh’s Northside.

And there's room for more! We invite individuals, groups, schools, clubs,
organizations and businesses to exhibit, present, perform or host a workshop
at Maker Faire Pittsburgh. And please spread the word by forwarding this
email to other artists, inventors, crafters and makers you know. There is no
fee to participate for non-commercial makers. Individuals who wish to promote
or sell a product or service along with demonstrating what they make are
charged a nominal fee. Start-ups and established businesses are welcomed as
sponsors.
The Call for Maker’s final deadline is August 15. Learn how to apply to be a
