I brought a big piece of a wood composite called lignostone to the shop a
few months ago for use with the shop lathe, and it's overkill even for me.
Anyone want it? attached is pic. It's big and behind mill. dimensions are
2" thick, 26"x44". It's about 80 lbs. this stuff has phenolic resin and
formaldehyde in it- so i don't recommend you burn it. It's basically red
birch plywood on steroids. tough as nails, makes the best workbenches
you'll ever have. It's used in the transformer industry as a coil wrapping
form material. we machine or where I work. Xrayed for metal too.
Let me know if you want it, it's not easy to throw away....
