Paul, thank you for putting the feelings into words. we love porch sitters
everywhere. You know the story explaining the downfall of porch sitting in
Brooklyn where you could walk anywhere and hear any Dodgers baseball game
without interruption? They say it was the advent of air conditioning.
But haven’t we had the most gorgeous sitting outside weather this
season?

did the same, played music, and folks strolled the street with a glass of
wine or a beer to chat with neighbors. Sad to witness the passing of this
sense of neighborhood.

Gathering dusk has eased into its armchair. A great stillness envelops the
land. Ink blue sky turns cheek to pillow, dusk enveloping the cosmos as the
earth makes its quotidien turn from the sun. Evening slides its arms into
its sleeping robe, ready to preside until dawn.
