Hi All,
Well, after sending my message about the Yahoo browser hijacking the role
of default web browser, I just tried pressing the F1 key on the button
called "Reset Web Settings" in the Internet Options dialog box of Internet
Explorer. The help says this button will generate the prompt about making
Internet Explorer my default browser, and they specifically mention that
you might want to do this after installing another browser that may have
made itself the default. It just wasn't obvious to me what that "Reset Web
Settings" button might do. Just goes to show how useful a little probing
and poking around can be. Just thought I'd share this with the list in
case anybody else has had some other browser assert itself without being
asked. Of course, I have to wait till I get home to try this out, but it
does look promising.

Cheers,
Jerry
