I get about 3 months out of a large bag of Royal Canin for Wren, but I keep it in an airtight bin. I wouldnt worry.

thanks everyone. i thought the same too. the woman in the pet shop told me 4 weeks and they only had big bags of food there. no way i'd use that up in 4 weeks. i get 8 weeks out of a bag of royal canin for callie so the 4 week thing is probably rubbish. just a way to get more money.

Pam,

Most dog food has a use by date on it. If you keep it in an air tight bin
you should be okay.

hi everyone. i'm just wondering if any of u know how long a bag of food
keeps for once it's been opened if it's kept in it's original bag which is
a zip lock bag.does it depend on what food it is? this food i'm talking
about is select gold from maxi zoo. it's the only food my pet dog will
eat. a bag lasts 3 months but just wondered if this might b too long? it's
not the cheapest food either so don't want to end up throwing a lot of it
away after a few weeks. thanks for any help.
