INTRODUCTION TO EYE CARE.
This section of our catalogue is devoted to our increased range of high
quality anti-glare glasses to aid the management of glare.
Anti-glare glasses can assist in easing the discomfort caused by glare whilst
optimising remaining vision.
Manufactured by Noir all of the filters offered provide 100 % UVA and UVB
protection whilst the deluxe range have the additional benefit of Infra Red
protection (IR) for relief from eye fatigue
The Noir filters also have a range of light transmission. This is the amount
of visible light transmitted through each lens and is shown as a percentage
figure in each of the colour blocks on the following pages. e.g. Colour filter
22 shows 13 % of light being transmitted.
The lower the figure the greater amount of light being excluded and therefore
the darker the filter. However it is important to note that choosing a filter
which is too dark can sometimes reduce the enhancing effect of the anti glare
glasses and therefore the amount of vision. We have listed some suggested
filter applications in the section below.
The Noir range of colour filters is very extensive and we are unable to hold
all of these in stock. We are however, able to obtain any filter or style upon
request. Any special orders could be subject to a small additional charge.

These are similar to our standard anti glare glasses but the lenses are made
from a polarising material which has the effect of reducing glare from bright

surfaces. These glasses are offered with grey or amber colour filter, in small
or medium size and two filter colours. Not recommended for driving as the
lenses can distort the view through vehicle windows.
