Hi, Clare,
We have the planning meeting for our blind club committee on Thursday.
The trick is trying to have a reasonable balance of outings, speakers ( both
serious and fun ), music, quizzes, etc to suit everyone. After quarter of a
century, we've almost exhausted the supply of speakers - we live in a rural
area, after all; It's a bit much to ask folk to come twenty miles or more to
bash our ears on a Thursday afternoon.
So you can bet that, as we start putting the syllabus together, there will be a
desperate need for Paracetamol!

Subject: [guide.chat] The blind club
Good evening all. I enjoyed blind club as always I won a Cadbury's bar on the
dominoes and a box of malteesers on the raffle so got my medicine there. We had
chocolate biscuits with a cuppa so more medicine. We didn't get cake today as
it wasn't anyone's birthday. Lovely to catch up with everyone as always. For
tea it was meat pie and that aero mousse and later will have some of my
winnings so my medicine in a big way. It's been a lovely sunny day here so hope
it stays that way. Keep you posted on dance tomorrow. Shame it's the last one
till September I will certainly miss it. My parents and auntie Pearl are
enjoying the tennis they love it and of course I know our Carol does too she's
certainly in her element these next 2 weeks. I don't like any sport so I'm glad
I have my music, books, the soaps and my emails to keep me going. So glad our
soaps are normal tonight. Carol, I look forward to hearing about your lovely
meal out for your James's birthday. Love Clare
