Hi, Carol; I agree. It wouldn't be so bad if the fireworks were restricted to the first week in November. However, I heard the first one go off a week ago - far too early, as far as I'm concerned. Of course, fireworks - bangers, at any rate, do have their uses; Farmers use them, with timers set, as bird scarers in Springtime, and they act as a deterrent to foxes and crows in the local estate, where pheasant and grouse are bred for the gun. Usually, though, the farmers and gamekeepers are very responsible when they use them. This uncontrolled use of them in the streets and gardens, though, is a nightmare. -----Original Message----- From: - Email Address: Sent On: 20/10/2012 23:04 Sent To: guide chat - Email Address: guide.chat@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [guide.chat] Fire works Good evening daft jim oh how scary oh hate them when they are just thrown any where daft jim what they should do is bring new law out and only sell firer works week before november 5th am I right? could be people walking about the streets with angina or old people walking about or guide dogs oh scary daft jim hate bonfire night didn't mind wehn I had sight because could jump out of the way then Love Carol xxxx ----- No virus found in this message.
