Hi, Carol; It's never easy meeting someone in that situation. I've had to do it too many times over the years, but I'll never get used to it. I don't know how my minister, Steve, coped last year ( 2012). He had to deal with 125 funerals from January to December. How he keeps his sense of the ridiculous is beyond me. Anyway, I have two funerals this week to attend now - the chap whose widow I visited today, and another one, because I'm on door duty at funerals for the next fortnight in the church. The classic was one last year, when the church was hushed as the minister spoke of the deceased, Andy's, sense of fun. Then the silence was broken by a mobile phone with the ring tone "Smoke gets in your eyes". Yep. Andy, ever the practical joker, knew his time was up. He'd made arrangements for someone to ring his phone - which was in the coffin - during a pause.... And, yes - Andy was cremated.... Sometimes you get a laugh at funerals!
