Freelists is a not-for-profit, open source kind of outfit, and they do
not sell addresses. I have used them for a couple of other groups
related to my work, and not seen any problems. Please look around their
website. It explains them very well. It is primarily a forum for the
exchange of technical information. Our group is registered as users of
small-boat electronics, piloting, and navigation systems. They live off
of donations, and I usually make a small one to them each year.
