This series is scored under the low point system. The low point system uses a boat's finishing place as her score. If a boat comes to the starting area but does not start or finish will be scored one higher than all the boats that came to the starting ares. Boats that do not come to the starting area are scored one more than the number of boats entered in the series. At the end of the series, you will get to throw out two races. Then, we'll add the points for each boat, the boat with the lowest number wins, the next lowest is second, third lowest third, and so on. Ties will be resolved as follows: If the boats are tied ad the finish line, the points for the the place for which they tied and the place immediately below that are added together and the boats split them. In other words, if two bots tie for 3rd, each of them would get 3.5 points (3 plus 4 divided by 2). If the boats are tied for the series, each boat's race score will be listed in order of best to worst, and at the first point where there is a difference, the ties will be broken in favor of the boat with the best score(s). Scores of thrown out races are not used. If there is still a tie, the rules spell out further decision making, up to and including a coin toss.
