John,
Southern Yankee II will not be able to participate on either of those
dates. We are out of town this weekend. We could have sailed on the 23rd
but we have a commitment on the 24th.
Sorry,
George and Ann

Subject: [gpsbug] Fall Series Make-up Races

There will be two make up races for the fall series. The first will be
this Saturday, 16 October, at 10:30 AM. The second will be on Sunday of
next week,
24 October, at 1:30PM

I will put out a new announcement on the frostbite series as well as new
starting times for Sunday racing. It turned out that the majority of
boats favored Sunday afternoon, so we will be moving the frostbite races
to Sunday.

So.

For first makup race for fall series, come to starting area at 10:30 AM
Saturday, 16 October. Starting times are still good as published for
previous races.
For second makerup race for fall series, come to starting area at 1:30
PM Sunday, 24 October. I will publish new starting times for a 1:30
preparatory signal.

Frostbite races will be scheduled for Sundays..starting at 1:30, and
will begin on October 31st.

A friendly reminder. Yacht racing rules (and fairness) calls for
engines not to be used subsequent to the preparatory signal. This
applies to all boats, even if, on account of the gabboon start, you
still have more than ten minutes to go to your start. If you run your
engine after the preparatory signal, you will lose your "turn" to start,
and must start after the last starter.

Thanks. See ya on the water.

John
