Content-Type: text/plain Guys, This is the schedule for most other races in southern bay area. I will get a final out on WSSC schedule in a couple of days. In case you have not read, Christian Schaumloffel, a local sailor, won the Lauder-Key West Race last week. Christian "drives" an old Hobie 33 with fairly conventional sails, all made by local sailmaker Dave Baxter. Dave made my #1 and #3, my asymmetric chute, and is making me a dacron main this winter. (www.baxtersailmakers.com <http://www.baxtersailmakers.com/> ). Historical note: Dave's dad made the sails for my first keelboat, about 35 years ago. Anyway, it's good to know you can still compete with the gold platers without actually plating yourself in gold. See ya. Have attached the CBYRA Region 4 South Division schedule, in case you do not already have it. As far as Christian winning the Lauderdale-KW Race - it is wonderful!! What a wild dash they must have had. I want to work around CCV schedule and plan a return race from Cock Island, so I'll be a couple of weeks finalizing. Thanks. Yeah..after a New Year's race in 70 degrees, it was kind of hard to put the boat up to dry out. Now, it's too cold to even go look at her! The news from Key West was great. How cool is it to see a guy in an old Hobie smoke the fleet of gold-platers! I know it is early, but I want to keep you guys on my radar screen if you plan a second year for your program. Lin PS It is difficult to think about sailing when the outdoor thermometer say 16 degrees!!! -- Binary/unsupported file stripped by Ecartis -- -- Type: application/msword -- File: 2005 FINAL - REGION 4 SOUTH Handicap Racing Schedule.doc
