Hello:

I don't think that is correct. The LookAround program functions more like Loadstone than the
brailleNote GPS.

The look around app uses the teleatlas maps, the same way the braillenote GPS does.

Hello:

I guess that I have not stated the situation clearly: I know about TomTom or Navigon running in the background while using the Sendero LookAround app. But what I would like is to be provided with information about upcoming streets and other types of information that BrailleNot GPS now provides. As i understand it, the LookAround app is not tied to any map but works kind of like Loadstone using different points of interest.

Thanks.

You can already do this, open TomTom or navigon and enter your destination, then press the home button to minimize that app and open the sendero look around app. The sendero app will handle telling you where you are and the other app will give you the navigation directions, it works very well.

Hi Folks:

I wonder if it would be possible for a programming company such as Sendero, to create a separate iPhone app that would track a persons GPS position if the person was using a program such as TomTom or Navigon and then report requested information such as next street ETC.

As I say, probably a dumb idea.

Thanks all over the place gang.
