Hi, Jerry, I actually did that not too long ago, and it was fine, but I shall check it again. Thanks.

Hello, everybody,
I've been dabbling with my gps for awhile now, but after going to one of Mike's sessions and listening to him and others, I am determined to become more expert *grin* at using it. One of the problems I have seems to be battery drain. Yesterday, I was using it, and the BN kept saying "battery is critical." I checked, and it was at 58 percent. Although that was a lot lower than I expected it to be, since it had been fully charged when I left the house, that is hardly critical! But the unit kept crashing, and finally, it crashed so badly that even a reset would not resurrect it. When I got hoome, I plugged it in, did a reset, and it worked, thank goodness, but I had to reset the date and time, and the planner would not work. Again, thank goodness, after I did what it told me to do, it worked, too, and all my schedules were still there!
But I find that using the gps even in virtual mode drains the battery really fast.
I am encouraged to get the updates, now, too. I'm still using 3.0.
Do you all keep you maps on a storage drive or whatever they are called or on a compact flash? Could that make any difference?
Thanks
Alice
