Dean,
I haven't found them particularly uncomfortable but then I don't find any
headphones particularly comfortable for prolonged use.
I think I would like some sort of fabric band over the head because I find that
even with the lightest Titanium headphones the band around the back of the head
tends to descend particularly with vigorous activity like operating the
elliptical at the gym. I also like to enjoy a snooze in the sun usually after
lunch stretched out on a swing on the patio but the band behind the head
becomes impractical. One can raise it to a sort of diagonal arch sort of over
the crown of the head.
My headrush closed headphones over the head are a lot heavier and of course way
more isolating but they don't like to sit still while laying recumbent either
and get warm and also uncomfortable.
Nothing is perfect suppose.
Hope this is helpful.
Dale Leavens.

I have heard repeated complaints about these being quite uncomfortable to
wear for extended periods of time. Has the situation improved in the newer
versions?

You can use any of the Aftershokz; the Titanium is quite expensive; about
$110. You can get the Bluez for around $70; and they have a lower-end model
for around $45 that I can't remember the name of.

If you have been on the fence about a new model of the bone conduction
AfterShokz headphones any model, use the promo code of May15 to get a 15% price
discount. I think the Titanium are the most durable band but they all have
their benefits. I think every active phone user should have one. I keep them
around my neck when not actively using them. Feel free to pass this discount
code along.
