Hi, I've not used Navigon myself but from comments I've read over recent months, isn't it the case that Navigon was much more usable by blind users in earlier versions and that it has taken a big backward step with its latest offering? Therefore, it would be interesting to know if the current comparisons being made are using the latest (and known to be less accessible) versions of Navigon. I believe that moves were afoot by previous users of Navigon to petition the company as to whether the removed accessible features could be reinstated - presumably, though, this will fall on deaf ears! So, you can't use Pandora to listen to music while also running Navigon. The Sendero route calculation is typically slower than these commercial products for the sighted for a number of reasons. Wayfinder for example is way faster. Some applications use fastest route, some shortest route and some give you the option of either. This choice of route calculation methods is high on the Sendero feature list. The latest version of Sendero GPS has a pretty good ETA, much better than earlier versions. Remember to use that audio tutorial to learn the ins and outs for the BrailleNote. Since the commands are similar on Sense Nav, it could be helpful for that program too. There is a podcast for Geo but I don't think it has been updated for version 2. The basics should still be about the same however. Glad to hear other's perspectives on these commercial products.
