Hi Kevin.
I saw when my message came back I didn't put the words in there saying, "I can't afford $5000 for $6000. Oops!

Bill,
I think that if you are able to stretch to that expense you might as well go for a BrailleNote mPower with the BlueLoger GPS. If you have any question on where to get these equipments or any question about them feel free to ask.

Hi Kevin.
Thanks for your help. No I don't have a Braille Note, nor a Pack Mate.
I have a old Braille Lite 2000.
My understanding is that with the Trekker, there's a pda that you can get
with it for $300 more.
I could afford $5000 or $6000 for one of those.

Heblo Bill,
First thing before deciding wheather to get the GPS provided by
SenderoGroup or not. Do you currently own a BrailleNote? If you do I
would go with the GPS from Senderogroup and the website is:
wwwlessenderogroupcom
You are able to check it out on the websije there is also demonstrations
made by Mike Mey who is a user and is the CEO of this product.
I hope this may help you.
Kevin
You won't miss it on the website.

Hi, my name is Bill, and live in Boise Idaho.
I am new to this list. I was looking at the trekkers. What do you think
of
this units?
Also I was talking to Beyond Sight about maybe buying from them. I would
like to know what people think about there service issues as well.
One year on parts and labor.
$1600 or $2000 for the wiss bank unit.
I haven't heard of the Sendero Group. Is there a real difference between
them? What do they cost? I also struggle with computer stuff, it comes
hard
for me. But I sure love the idea.
I am after ten years thinking about getting my third Guide Dog. That
would
be a blast if its what I here is so.
Do these gps units hold up pretty good.
What's there web site please Bill

i would also suggest the GPs system from senderogroup as i am currently
using it. it is great and once you have it you would wonder how you
were
able to go on without it. It tells you so much it gives you all the
information and more than a sighted person has.
And also if you aren't comfortable using it or unsure of getting it
because you wont know how to use it or something it has a great tutorial
with information ranging from setting up your GPs to making a vehicle
route.
GO with Sendero's GPs

Hello AL,

One person did write back and suggest getting the GPS system for the
Braille Note. I would say the same because it is the lowest cost
solution, and also the most adaptable one. The trekker is also a very
good system, but you can do more with the Braille Note. At least that
is
how I think about it.

Hi All,
I posted the below question several days ago with no useful response
so
am posting again as follows:

I currently use a BrailleNote classic 32 with KS6.11 and am
considering
the acquisition of a GPS system. Any information on what I should get
and where to get it and approximate cost will be much appreciated.
Also,
I should note that I am not upgrading my BNBT32 to the new MPower, but
will upgrade to KS7.00 when it comes out.
