Hello,Finally Gpodder debian package has been updated to 3.1, great, I installed it !
I still have one problem : I downloaded and ran the gpodder-migrate2tres script, but it says :
"Would carry out the following actions:Move downloads from /mnt/Disk-1L/Loisirs/Podcasts to /home/valeryan24/gPodder/Downloads Convert database from /home/valeryan24/.config/gpodder/database.sqlite to /home/valeryan24/gPodder/Database"
OK for database conversion, as I want to keep my history (all episodes present, those read or not etc...), but I do not want to change the folder where to put my podcasts.
I have a little "home" (there is not enough space to move my existing Downloads folder !) and I store all my music / podcasts on a dedicated 1000 Gb disk.
So I'd like to keep the folder /mnt/Disk-1L/Loisirs/Podcasts as destination for podcasts and just convert database.
I read the wiki but do not understand well what to do : http://wiki.gpodder.org/wiki/User_Manual#Changing_the_downloads_folder_location"If you want gPodder to download files in another directory, change the GPODDER_HOME environment variable." : sorry, I do not know what it means. What and where is GPODDER_HOME environment variable and how to mofify it, please ? Is it in .bashrc file ? I am on Ubuntu 12.04
I also read that I have to do a symlink between /mnt/Disk-1L/Loisirs/Podcasts and /home/valeryan24/gPodder/Downloads : is it true, and what is the command ? ln -s and which order ?
Thanks in advance for your help :) Best regards, Xavier On 09/03/2012 20:34, First Last wrote:

Yes, mention that the functionality will be in gPodder >= 3.1.0 and for the "workaround" (it's rather a normal feature that's not very user friendly and well hidden ;) you can also document this. The GPODDER_HOME environment variable is actually universal for all platforms, and it's documented in the README file. As people might not start looking there, it might make sense to add a pointer/hint in the FAQs as well :) Thanks, Thomas > ________________________________ > From: Thomas Perl <m@xxxxxx <mailto:m@xxxxxx>> > To: gpodder@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:gpodder@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Thursday, March 8, 2012 10:37 PM> Subject: [gpodder] Re: Question re: Changing default Download Folder - FAQ info correct?> > Hi, > > On Thu, Mar 08, 2012 at 07:15:54PM -0800, First Last wrote: > > I would like to change the default Download Folder, it is defaulting > > to C:\Documents and Settings\$USER\My Documents\gPodder\.
