got fed up completely with Itunes and have been looking for a Windows-based
alternative, and there are not many out there, it seems.
Anyway, the example file you sent worked perfectly with the gpodder
application. I renamed the file I have been trying to get going to .xml
again and used an editor on it (I have been using an old version of
Dreamweaver, which will allow opening and editing .xml files. I opened
your example, which worked, as .xml as well and compared them side-by-side
and could find very few significant differences. I tried numerous ways of
aligning and removing text or directives that seemed like they might be
causing problems, also replacing characters, ensuring the syntax was
identical, etc., but there was no way I could get my file (which was
exported from Podkicker on Android) to work. I am attaching an edited
version of that file, including just the first few lines of subs. If you
can see anything that would make it work, that would be great !

On the other hand, you might compare the attached file and create a
working one with your subscriptions from this. It's actually an easy
process and allows you to give your subscriptions even your own title, if
the official one doesn't fit your wishes, for any reasons. In my case this
is quite handy with foreign youtube channels containing Unicode charakters.
