It should be possible to downgrade libmtp. Just grab it
from hardy's repository and try to install it.

I think we talked about that in IRC a few days ago. Feel free to drop
by on #gpodder on freenode and we'll have a look.

Nick125 is also working on a new PyMTP version (though probably also
comes with a new API - Jerome, would you like to update the gPodder
integration once this is done?). see http://nick125.com/ for more info
