Hi all,
Sorry I am a bit late on this, but just to add to Chris's helpful advice, I
think you want to hide that initial time signature from the final score.
Cheers, James

Hi. You want to go to where you want the pick up measure to be, and press
control-I. in the insert measures dialog box, make sure you fill it in with the
beat or beats that you want in that incomplete measure. Suppose that it is one
beat at the beginning, you would put a one in the beats per measure box. You
also want to make sure that you go to the edit menu and under options, make
sure that your measure numbers start with zero. You also want to insert a
measure at the end, with the control-I key combination, and tell it how many
beats for that incomplete measure. It is important to remember that you are
inserting the measure at the end of the system. The default option is to insert
the measure before the current note. I hope that makes sense.
Chris
