Thank you! This is excellent. I didn't want to upgrade JAWS to 2018 or
Duxbury to 12.3 till I knew Goodfeel could work, so I'm happy to hear that
it can. I'm a little daunted by the complexity of the program, but I am
truly curious as to how it will work. I hope to be downloading a trial soon.

Very good questions. We definitely need to update much of the information
on our site.
The forthcoming official release of version 4.0 of GoodFeel ships with a
version of the Lime notation editor that comes with scripts that work well
with version 2018 of JAWS and versions dating back to JAWS 15. This version
of Lime, 9.16.6, is also the first version that offers the talking score
feature we pioneered back in 2002 for screen readers other than JAWS. I
have tested with NVDA and Narrator. I am confident that the talking score
feature should work with any other Windows screen reader.
This version of Lime also has the capability to offer the special scrolling
and magnification features we call Lime Lighter that enable performers with
low vision to independently read and write music using Lime. Now people who
benefit from magnification can have the option to reinforce their reading
with the Lime Aloud talking score future and even to display the music in
braille as well on a braille display.
N. B.: Real-time braille display support while working in Lime is still only
available to users of JAWS.
All of the above refers to GoodFeel 4 and Lime 9.16.6. A number of
customers have already upgraded to pre-release version of GoodFeel. Those
were versions 3.5 and 3.6.
GoodFeel 3.2 shipped with Lime 9.05. We never updated the Lime Aloud
scripts for Lime 9.05 past JAWS 16. JAWS 16 was the first version of JAWS
to work with Windows 10, I believe. Of course, JAWS 2018 works way better
with Windows 10.
I hope to make an "official" announcement about release of GoodFeel 4 with
Lime 9.16.6 before the end of August. Meantime, we are shipping GoodFeel
4.0 as a release candidate. Anyone interested to obtain a no-cost,
evaluation version that will run as a full versions for 15 days can write to

Hi all,
I'm confused by Goodfeel's compatibility with a variety of software options,
as it appears based on the list archives and the website that there are
different configurations. I'm hoping you can help.
Does Goodfeel work with JAWS 2018? The website says it must be JAWS 16, but
last I checked JAWS 16 and Windows 10 didn't work well together. There was a
post about Goodfeel used with JAWS 2018, so is that a use-at-your-own-risk
scenario?
NVDA and Goodfeel don't work together. Is this accurate?
Is there anything else I should know about before starting a trial?
