Due to all the stress from dealing with the flood I had a mild stroke early
Tuesday morning and I was air lifted to Good Samaritan hospital. Because
I recognized my symptoms at the onset I was able to receive the TPA
medication and the stroke was stopped quickly.
The only residual effects I have are a very slight dropping of the right
side of my mouth and my speech is slow (especially when I am tired) I also
have a slight stutter and a few letters give me a little bit of trouble
getting out. The doctor gave me some exercises to do for that.
We are still looking for a rental property and still have water everywhere
on our property, although my husband informed me that he was able to pump
water for about 5 hours yesterday out from under our house, which is
progress.
