Subject: Virginia Tech CEED opportunities
Hello Mike,
Although the application deadlines for CEED's summer programs has passed for
this year, I wanted to let you know about one additional opportunity for
your high school students called the Griptape Learning Challenge. The
Challenge is a call to action to youth to invent, design and execute their
own learning journeys. Youth are given full decision-making authority over
the what, when, where, how and why of their learning, up to $500,
encouragement and recognition for their efforts. Griptape is a nonprofit
organization under America Achieves with primary funding coming from the
Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. While this is not a Virginia Tech
program, we work closely with some of their Youth Leaders.
The deadline for applying for the current round of funding is coming up
soon, May 31, and I realize we are also quickly coming to the end of the
