Dear All:
What we really need in education is the study of human beings, study of
human needs, and the study of human participation to achieve human needs.
It needs an environment of cooperation and not competition; an environment
of responsibility and not fear or incentives. We need to create a society
of an integrated social, economic, and political structure that we all
become a part of the solution of catering to human needs. It is just that
simple.

Dear All,
The analyzes and discussions performed during all human history about war,
in its aspects of evolution and necessary effects, are today out of
actuality.
All that philosophical discussion, which was sustainable in the past,
becomes problematic today due to the existence of weapons of mass
destruction that threaten the continuity of life on the planet. During the
last millennium, humanity found in weapons the technological answer for the
solution of human conflicts. Now, humanity must find a human response to
the danger of extinction due to the existence of weapons. In this
connection, Albert Einstein said: "We are going to require a substantial
new way of thinking if humanity is to survive."
Our civilization never, in all its history, was under two real opposed
feasibilities. On one hand, by the use of atomic weapons or slowly by the
destruction of the environment, it faces the possibility to completely
exterminate the life on Earth. But on the other hand, since human society
reached the necessary level of development, it is now possible to totally
eliminate hunger in the world - what seemed incredible just few years ago-
and also to achieve a universal contract of harmony that will assure the
peaceful relationship among the countries. This neither could be possible
to predict during the II World War, or during the called Cold War.

Lucas,
you don't get it and/or are not ready to think if not in terms of dual
categories, which is not thinking at all. This is no metaphor.
I have expressed it clearly and repeatedly that the dual categorization
peace/war is a nonstarter to apprehend such a complex phenomenon.
Even Clausewitz 150 years ago expressed it "peace is the continuation of
war with other means", and in Europe this is what peace has been in the
last thousands of years. Remember the roman Empire holding Dalmatian
princesses as hostages in Rome to avert invasions coming from the
Danubians.
In Latin America it has been somewhat different, because we have had no
peace if not in a situation of turmoil, both political and economical with
invasions from the North, coups d' etat as in Ukraine, and still civil war
intermittently which started following its renounciation of its colonial
status with Spain and Portugal to become a colony of the US.
So "war" and "peace" are not dual states but form a continuum. this is no
judgement, it is what it is.
Already MacLuhan proposed that war was related to a cybernetic phenomenon
of a positive feedback cycle for nations or polities to restore
a sense of selfrespect, which is clearly the case in point in the present
conflict with Russia being destroyed and harassed continuously either from
Asia or Europe (Gengis Khan, the Roman Catholic Crusades against Orthodox
Christianity orb the invasions by Sweden, Poland and the Lituan Kingdom).
Include here Germany after Versailles Treaty which early set the stage for
and prepared WWII.
Hitler was the illbegotten fruit of this treaty plus the finance of the
bankers of Wall Street, and include here the Bolshevik Revolution which was
no Russian at all.
I wonder if you are ready to discuss seriously or at all these issues.
Anything else, is just charlatanism, or wishful thinking, which is no
thinking at all but an adolescent and regressed character form of litany.

However, if you are interested in transcending duality I can recommend to
you the "Forget the Observer-" Experiment I wrote a couple of decades ago.
Amit Goswami uses it to teach his students how to recognize and transcend

Dear Architects of Peace,
Let us free ourselves from the spiral of cruelty and destruction in the
name of peace by the irresponsible actors of a useless war, which is a
shameful attack on what humanity should stand for. It lets us appear as
collateral damage in evolution. Let us find, in the spirit of global
harmony, one of the thousand ways to live together in dignity. There is no
just cause that can drag us into a war of atrocities, only peace should be
able to enlist us in its fold.

IF WE DO NOT LEARN TO LIVE TOGETHER, WE WILL DIE TOGETHER
Power, greed and glory have targeted nature, biodiversity and peace with
an appalling level of brutality that has made humanity a liability to
evolution.
A species that disrupts the evolutionary engine of âlife seeking more
lifeâ and can no longer be restrained will activate evolutionâs immune
system to eliminate the anomaly and restore internal balance. Fossil fuels
can fossilize us all, while war, the ultimate arbiter of discord, can bring
lasting peace in a long cold night of nuclear hibernation.
Humanity has gone astray on a planet that a boundless universe has
privileged for the chemistry of life. The earth was given to us âto till it
and keep itâ (Genesis 2:15), but âcorruption has appeared in the land and
in the sea on account of what men have wroughtâ (Qurâan, Surah 30.4).
Before our eyes, anthropocentrism has been translated into hegemony by two
failed ideological systems and their intermediaries, which have colonized
the entire planet and dehumanized our species. Communism, ignoring the
justice that comes from freedom, is in the graveyard. Capitalism, ignoring
the justice that comes from equality, is on its way to the morgue. That is
why humanity needs an urgent overhaul. Modern civilization has failed as a
project of humanity and can offer no survival option.
The invasion of nature, of human life and of other communities in a
neurotic drive for domination has led to eco-cataclysm and the war of
extinction. The transformative force that can still overcome futile
polarization and reconnect us to the life-giving force of evolution is the
global sisterhood of the moral reserves of humanity, above all divisions,
to prevent the fatal step into the abyss, which will horrify the animals:
âHas humanity lost its mind and instinct? Is it suicide, or is it
euthanasia?â
If all alternatives to global harmony look bleak, then global harmony is
the answer. Once we have silenced this round of gunfire, letâs enact a new
rule for the human family that decrees that, from now on, first contact is
a smile.

Queridos Arquitectos de la Paz,
Liberémonos de la espiral de crueldad y destrucción en nombre de la paz
por parte de los actores irresponsables de una guerra inútil, que es un
ataque vergonzoso a lo que deberÃa representar la humanidad. Nos hace
aparecer como daños colaterales en la evolución. Encontremos, en el
espÃritu de la armonÃa mundial, una de las mil maneras de vivir juntos con
dignidad. No hay causa justa que pueda arrastrarnos a una guerra de
atrocidades, sólo la paz deberÃa poder enrolarnos en su redil.

SI NO APRENDEMOS A VIVIR JUNTOS, MORIREMOS JUNTOS
El poder, la avaricia y la fama han atentado contra la naturaleza, la
biodiversidad y la paz con un nivel de brutalidad alarmante que ha
convertido a la humanidad en un lastre para la evolución.
Una especie que interrumpe el motor evolutivo de âla vida busca más vidaâ
y que no puede ser frenada, activará el sistema inmunológico de la
evolución para eliminar la anomalÃa y restablecer el equilibrio interno.
Los combustibles fósiles pueden fosilizarnos a todos, mientras que la
guerra, árbitro último de la discordia, puede traer la paz duradera en una
larga y frÃa noche de hibernación nuclear.
La humanidad se ha extraviado en un planeta que un universo ilimitado ha
privilegiado para la quÃmica de la vida. La tierra nos fue dada âpara
cultivarla y conservarlaâ (Génesis 2:15), pero âla corrupción ha
llegado a
la tierra y en al mar a causa de lo que han hecho los hombresâ (Corán, sura
30.4). Ante nuestros ojos, el antropocentrismo se ha traducido en hegemonÃa
por dos sistemas ideológicos fracasados y sus intermediarios, que han
colonizado todo el planeta y deshumanizado a nuestra especie. El comunismo
ignora la justicia que emana de la libertad y está en el cementerio. El
capitalismo, que ignora la justicia que emana de la igualdad, va camino de
la morgue. Por eso, la humanidad necesita urgentemente una revisión. La
civilización moderna ha fracasado como proyecto de la humanidad y no puede
ofrecer ninguna opción de supervivencia.
La invasión de la naturaleza, de la vida humana y de otras comunidades en
un afán neurótico de dominación ha provocado el eco-cataclismo y guerras de
exterminio. La fuerza transformadora que aún puede superar la fútil
polarización y reconectarnos a la fuerza vivificante de la evolución es la
hermandad global de las reservas morales de la humanidad, trascendiendo
todas las divisiones, para evitar el paso fatal hacia el abismo que
horrorizará a los animales: â¿Ha perdido la humanidad la razón y el
instinto? ¿Acaso, es un suicidio, o es una eutanasia?â.
Si todas las alternativas a la armonÃa global parecen sombrÃas, entonces
la armonÃa global es la respuesta. Una vez silenciada esta ronda de
disparos, hagamos una nueva regla para la familia humana que establezca
que, a partir de ahora, el primer contacto sea una sonrisa.
