Partial and short-term interests have been prevailing over making ISO

Greetings all
I am in full agreement with using the ISO 26000 standards to achieve a
sustainable society unfortunately using the ISO 26000 is not
a,certifiable st.andard. however, if one uses UNDRIP attached to the
standards we can then certify the two programs together. This situation
arose because the UNGC insisted on making the ISO 26000 non certifiable
in exchange for its participation in the development of the standards. The
UNGC was to implement the standards throughout the UN agencies, and after
thid they have refused to implement throughout the UN system. The say
around this is to attach the ISO 26000 to UNDRIP.
The deal memo between the UNGC and the ISO group has béen ignored anx
excuses have been made since 2010. With zero publicity. Jorge Kell was
the responible official
Ivtracked this info from 2005 to today and have on numerous occasions
pointed this out to agencies responsible for ethics at the UN to no avail.

The way to remedy the situation is to retrain the UNRC position to include
implementing the ISO 26000 and INDRIP together.

*Dear Peacemakers,*
For half a century, humanity has been losing the battle for peace, the
environment and development, and we are on the verge of our species’
endgame. The beginning of a new year is a time to reflect on the deeper
causes of such an illogical outcome. A sustainable humanity living and
thriving in a healthy and harmonious home is the reset that I wish you in
2023. Instead of unnecessary polarizing polemics, we need to go to the root
of the problem, no matter what it takes to rescue our future.
*THE REAL THREAT TO THE SURVIVAL OF HUMANITY IS CIVILIZATION*
*Is this an unforgivable impertinence or a terrible truth that catches us
off guard?*
Civilization, the process of dominating, altering and manipulating nature
for the benefit and glory of humanity, is a profoundly anthropocentric
project with destructive effects on the environment and biodiversity. The
only beauty of nature was its monetary value. Humans became the measure of
all things because we like to imagine that humanity is nature’s goal.
Civilization derives from ‘civis’, the city dweller who escaped the
‘barbarism’ of the forest, the wilderness, communal life and nature itself.
Modern civilization has transformed the human being into a predatory
species, an unreliable companion of life and a liability to evolution. Long
ago, the great moral philosopher Hans Jonas warned of the cosmic solitude
of anthropocentrism. “In a violent and violating irruption into the cosmic
order… the raping of nature and the civilizing of man go hand in hand.”
The disheartening story is that despite the laudable efforts of millions
of courageous people, we are losing the battle for the environment, peace
and development because we are looking for a needle in the wrong haystack.
The predatory project has managed to win us over to its system maintenance
script, recruiting us for cosmetic embellishments like clean energy for a
dirty system and a circular economy designed to curb ever-spiraling waste.
2023 should end the hibernation of humanity’s moral reserves by
reconnecting with the driving force of evolution, which is that life always
seeks more life. Competition and selfishness, the ultimate virtues of the
system, must give way to cooperation and solidarity. Indigenous peoples can
teach us how to escape from today’s synthetic modernity, whose
anthropocentrism, perpetual growth and profit-driven production point to an
endgame in evolution.
Faced with a moral crisis rooted in the cancerous growth for the benefit
of the elites, Frantz Fanon’s visionary words of half a century ago come to
mind. “The Third World today faces Europe like a colossal mass whose
project should be to try to resolve the problems to which Europe has not
been able to find the answers.”
The extrasystemic wish for 2023 is harmony with nature and with each
other, starting with overcoming two trophies of civilization, communism,
which is in the graveyard, and capitalism, clinically dead and on its way
to the morgue. Fortunately, the moral reserves of humanity can restore
harmony with the driving force of evolution, which is that life always
seeks more life. This will open the way to rehumanize a dehumanized
humanity and regain our right to live in evolution by reclaiming our
authentic story. There is no better reason to joyfully wish each other and
our children a happy 2023.
Wishing you in 2023 much energy for the tectonic shift we need to make our
planet a livable and happy place for you and your eight billion loved ones.
