I am backing up to a CD. What you need to do is backup within Quicken to a file. Example C:\desktop\Quicken\06-30-03 Then copy the file 06-30-03 to the CD using your backup program. The next time you backup change the file name to the date of that backup. I am using Q Premier and no problems w/backups to CD. I have the drop down backup on Quicken. It keeps saying disc is write protected. I'm using CD-R discs. I checked thru "my computer" and opened the "d" disc, nothing there. I used a formatted disc and also unformatted, neither worked. I must be missing something??? My daughter helped me on Word backups, it seemed to be a rather complicated procedure, should it be? John King really promotes backups which is a good idea, but why is it so complicated or is something wrong with the procedures on this ME 2000 using Word 2000 and Quicken 2002. This is a pentium III. ========================= Personally, I don't see how a CD disk can be write protected if it is merely a CD-W disk. Perhaps she's using a Re writable disk, which I don't use. IS ANYONE BACKING UP TO A CD DISK WITH QUICKENT 2000? Babette ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
