[ggcsquicksig] Flash drives for Quicken Backup

I've often reminded you that although Quicken periodically automatically
backs up its data file to a folder ON YOUR HARD DRIVE, that's not the
best place for a backup.
If anything happens to your hard drive or computer, you have no other
backup of your financial information.
Therefore, IN ADDITION, you should back up to external media, such as an
external, portable hard drive, flash drive or CD ROM disk.
Flash drive are much easier to use for backup than burning a CD ROM.
They are small, highly portable and fast. Moreover, they've gotten
cheaper and cheaper to buy.
This week Office Depot has 8 GIG Emtech flash drives on sale for $4.99
and Lexar 16 Gig flash drives for $7.99.
Even if you back up to a cloud program like Mosey, you should consider
ALSO using a flash drive backup. If your ISP goes down or the cloud
server goes down, you'll still have access to your data on the flash
drive if needed.
