  but I'm going to throw it out anyhow....

  Konopapw has been spending some time redesigning our homepage and navigation 
buttons in order to speed things up and cut down on the bandwidth needed to 
open the homepage. I'll post the URL for the new homepage in a day or two so 
everyone can give their opinions before we go production.

  One of the changes we have talked about is the link to the chat room. 
Currently anyone can go there and join our chat or create another "room" for a 
private chat or some other discussion. The other night there were 2 or 3 
unknown names discussing how to pick up girls or some subject like that. The 
question is should we put a password on that link in order to get into the 
chatroom. It would be something that everyone on the maillist would receive in 
order to log in. This would NOT prevent anyone from going directly to the chat 
by typing in the correct URL in their browser or from a shortcut they had 
previously created. Just the link on our homepage would have the password 
window popup since there doesn't seem to be a way to limit access to this 
external site.

  What's the feeling: leave it wide open for everyone or add the password for 
those that may stumble across it on our webpage?
