Subject: [GeoStL] Thanks for the fun at MIGC
I wanted to thank all of you that worked SO hard to make this such a great
event. Part of my job in Jeff City Parks & Rec is doing Special Events and
I know how much work goes into making one go so well. This was an extremely
well organized and orchestrated event down to the smallest detail. I really
felt like there was almost too much to do, I didn't get through all the
caches.
I was sorry I couldn't stay for the whole time, but I had to leave early
(Sat night), I had to teach a Sunday School class and lock up the Church
after the morning's activities. Unfortunately, I had to leave before the
door prizes, so Mike, you can mail that new GPS I won up to Jeff City.
(LOL!)
I had a great time at the event. I met a guy in the group camp site
Friday night, Clarence Warfield, who had never gone caching before so we
teamed up and found about 6 or 7 caches on Saturday. He got to know his new
Magellan by the end of the day and we got to know each other too. It's so
cool that total strangers can get together and have such a great day
together. Geocaching brings the nicest people together!
For everyone that worked the event, thanks again for all your hard work.
It was great seeing all you folks again and I can't wait till the next
event!
