Susan,
As I said I have the cable but it had stopped working on my Windows 7 computer.
It worked fine on the XP. So, in my heart I knew the cable was ok. Finally
found the correct driver for it and re-installed it. Now it is working again.
I got the cable on E-bay. It is the one that has sky blue ends and what looks
like a short piece of aluminum connecting them. (I've seen just an adapted
with out the cable but don't know how it works.) They run anywhere from $2-4
dollars plus shipping.
All is well with geocaching and computers in my household now.
