This is also the same day as the Magic Number 2 group hunt.

Last Sat., I was at our annual subdivision picnic and
met Amber, who works for the St. Louis County Parks
Dept.
She laughed when I mentioned I was a geocacher. She
knows all about us. In fact, she said she found her first
cache with one of her co-workers, Jerry, who lives on the
premises of Queeny Park. Her first cache was not far
from where he lives - Bouncing Through Queeny.

After the obvious talk about the relationship between
geocachers and government agencies, we talk a bit
about Glencoe, Jedberg, Packwood Estates and
'Zombie Road'., which she happened to know quite
a bit about. In fact, she mentioned there is
a park-sponsored bike ride along the Al Foster trail,
starting at Glencoe and going to Castlewood. It is from
9:30am - 11:30am, Oct 2, 2004. I already signed up.
The terrain and scenery are not too much different than
that of the KATY trail.

Got my bike out of storage after 3 years, put air in
the tires, made sure the GPSr had a good place to
clip onto!

I need to make sure all the information that RGS has
put in his cache logs about caches he has placed in
the Glencoe area is correct!
